Ownership Evidence Review
How the club decides whether a member's charging bills or summer range log can be published. This is a written process. It is not software, and it does not change how Tesla Stories are moderated.

Moderation is not verification
Approving a Tesla Story for display only means it fits community guidelines. It does not verify any number, cost or technical claim in it, and no story is promoted into a guide automatically. Evidence used in a guide goes through every stage below.
Review Stages
- 01
Consent and privacy
The contributor confirms in writing that the records are their own, that they agree to publication, and how they want to be shown: initials, an alias or their name. Nothing is published without that permission, and it can be withdrawn.
- 02
Redaction
License plates, VINs, home or work addresses, precise parking locations, account numbers and raw receipts are redacted before anything is shared. Published figures are summaries, not raw documents.
- 03
Evidence completeness
Every figure traces to a bill, receipt, app screen or logged reading for a stated period. Missing months or trips are reported as gaps, not filled in.
- 04
Source, calculation and unit check
A reviewer recomputes each total from the inputs, checks the price basis (per kWh, per minute or per session) and confirms units are labeled. Rates are compared against the official published source for that date.
- 05
Observed versus estimated
Values read from a document or screen are marked observed. Anything inferred is marked estimated and kept separate. Hypothetical examples are never relabeled as member data.
- 06
Safety and technical review
Any claim touching safety, high voltage, battery condition or driving behavior needs review by someone qualified for that topic. If no qualified reviewer is available, the item is held, not published.
- 07
Second approval
A second organizer or editor approves before publication, independent of the author where possible. This is the required written process; it is not an automated system.
Decisions
Approve
Consent on file, redaction done, every figure traceable, calculations reproduce, observed and estimated values separated, limits stated, second approval recorded.
Revise
Usable records with a fixable gap: missing units, an unlabeled estimate, an unclear period or an overstated conclusion.
Reject
No consent, unredacted private data, figures that cannot be traced, unsafe methods, or a claim the evidence cannot support.
Reviewer credits
A reviewer is named publicly, with their relevant experience and the actual review date, only when they consent. No reviewer is listed today. The club name is never presented as if it were an individual reviewer.
Corrections and rechecks
When a published record changes, the prior version is kept and a note states what changed, why and on what date. Records tied to rates or software are rechecked when the underlying source changes, and marked stale if they cannot be rechecked.
Eligibility and Disclosure
- Records must be your own. Sponsors, sellers and businesses disclose any interest, and that disclosure is published.
- You keep copyright in your records and grant the club permission to publish the summary under your chosen display name.
- Screenshots or documents from others need their permission.
How to Contribute
- Download a blank template below and fill it in locally.
- Do not upload private account details, VINs, addresses, exact locations or unredacted receipts anywhere.
- Use the contact page to tell the club you have a record to share. An organizer will reply about next steps.
