The Programs

Three Austin Energy programs make the biggest difference for Tesla owners. Amounts and terms are set by Austin Energy and change over time, so always confirm before you buy or enroll.

Home Charging Rebate

50% of cost, up to $1,200

Austin Energy residential customers can receive 50% of the cost to purchase and install a Level 2 home charger, up to $1,200 with a qualifying Wi-Fi-connected charger enrolled in Austin Energy's program, or up to $900 for a standard Level 2 charger.

Available through December 31, 2026. Enrollment, equipment, and electrical requirements apply. Confirm current terms and your eligibility with Austin Energy before purchasing.

Plug-In EVerywhere Public Charging

$0.09 / kWh (Level 2) · $0.21 / min (DC fast)

Austin Energy operates a public charging network across the Austin area. Charging is billed at $0.09 per kWh at Level 2 stations and $0.21 per minute at DC fast chargers.

Rates and station locations are managed by Austin Energy and can change. Check the Austin Energy site or app for the current network map and pricing.

Power Partner EV Charging Rewards

$50 enrollment + $25 per year

Enroll an eligible connected Level 2 home charger in Austin Energy's managed-charging program and earn a one-time enrollment incentive plus an annual participation incentive for letting Austin Energy optimize charging during peak demand.
